The Berge Guesthouse in Aschau, Germany is a 1670s bakery remodelled into 13 apartments by designer Nils Holger Moorman.
The rooms range from two-story living quarters to a ‘sleep cell’ designed for backpackers. Visitors are encouraged to use a communal space which has a library, kitchen and socializing area nestled next to a fireplace.
that bedroom is awkward, but there are other interesting examples behind the link. Mr. Moorman’s work is minimalist kitchy interesting strange.
